What Does The Following Colonoscopy Report Indicate?

I just had a colonoscopy today. They found a few different problems. I have redundant bowel along with tortuosity. But the part I m having a hard time understanding is being sent home but I m told I have intussusception congestion of the mucosa. Now unfortunately my hospital doesn t take time to explain things so I was bad and Google search it. Should I not be kept in the hospital to have this fixed?

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hello,

I understand your concern. But unlike Pediatric population, adult intussusception is recurrent and is self limiting. Most patients are not retained in the hospital.

But if you develop abdominal distension or bilious vomiting or bloodstained stools, then I suggest you approach the nearest Emergency Room, please.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
