What Does The Following Diagnosis Indicate?

A student presents with pharyngitis, a high temperature, yellow patches on his throat and swollen lymph nodes in the neck region. A throat culture is performed and streaked onto a blood agar plate. In 24 hours the colonies demonstrate beta-hemolysis. What is the probable diagnosis?

thanks for posting your query to HCM . Group B Streptococcus is commonly causes pharyngitis ,it shows beta haemolysis on blood agar , but confirmation of organism can only be done after putting some biochemical test .
