What Does The Following Lipid Profile Suggest?

I am 33 yerars old and my blood pressure goes high occassionally reaching upto 147/100. My lipid profile indicates high triglycerides(280), VLDL=56, unconjugated ID bilirubin=0.78, A/G ratio=1.43, SGOT=70 and SGPT=163. My TSH level is 5.97 and my liver USG shows hepatomegaly with grade 1-2 fattyness. Kindly advise my.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The following conclusions can be drawn from the investigation report you have furnished.
1. Triglyceride and VLDL levels is clearly greater than normal.
2. Although Bilirubin level is normal, the liver enzymes are higher than normal indicating hepatocellular dysfunction.
3. Also, ultrasound report is suggesting liver enlargement and fatty liver changes.
You need to intervene at this stage to revert things to normal.
Kindly do the following.
1. Exercise regularly to reduce and maintain weight.
2. Eat moderate quantity of easily digestible carbohydrates, moderate quantity of and less quantity of fats in your diet.
3. Drink good quantity of fluids and fresh fruit juices regularly.
4. Quit smoking and alcohol if you are habituated to.
5. Take food and medications rich in antioxidants like Vitamin E, Vitamin C and Selenium regularly.
Do regular investigation and follow-up and seek medical attention promptly if you find any gross variations in the results.
