What Does The Following Liver Function Test Report Suggest?
Hi Doctor, I am 50 y male from India. My GGT 105, SGOT 66.41 and SGPT 130.15 U/L. BILIRUBIN direct 0.13 & indirect 0.3u/dl. 25 -OH vitamin D (total): 10.95mg/dl. Avg blood glucose 120 mg/ dl calculated HbA1c 5.8%. Uric acid 7.67 mg/dl Any treatment and suggestions please.
I understand your concern. Please find the following suggestions for your lab results: - Your GGT (105) is high; SGOT 66.41 (high); SGPT 130.15 (high)-meaning your liver is getting inflammation due to : alcohol consumption or hepatitis. Further hepatitis testing advised to rule it out together with abdominal ultrasound to evaluate the morphology of liver. - Average blood glucose is slightly elevated while HbA1C within normal range. No diabetes, you might have impaired glucose. Should follow strict diet and lifestyle changes to keep them within normal range. - Uric acid (7.67) is slightly high (normal range is 3.4-7.0). Changes in diet regimen (less protein foods) can help stabilize uric acid levels.
Please follow with your gastrohepatologist to determine why your liver enzymes have been altered.
Wish fast recovery.
