What Does The Following Pregnancy Scan Suggest?

" gravid uterus with slightly flattened gestation sac which corresponds to 9.3 weeks. collection cranial to G sac suggests subchorionic hematoma which measures 21x 10mm .. G sac is caudally placed. Yolk sac shows normal size (3.2mm) .. an ill defined fetal pole of size 7.1mm , corresponds to 6.4 weeks but not showing cardiac pulsations or doppler signs of viability". the doctors impression is "inevitable abortion with non vible fetes" .. could you please explain this?

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi wani. I will be answering your concerns.

I appreciate your concerns. I have read the scan report. The sac measures 9 weeks but your baby measures only a little more than 6 weeks. It means that the baby has stopped growing for quite some time. Fetal heart rate is visible in a fetus measuring 6mm and more. Your baby measures 7.1 mm but heart rate is not seen. I am sorry to say that this means that you have had a miscarriage ( the baby is dead).
Please consult with your doctor do decide the procedure to remove the baby from uterus.
Wishing you good health,
Best wishes,
Dr Rama
