What Does The Following Scan Report Suggest?

The uterus is anteverted and measures 110 x 56 x 56mm. The myometrium is
heterogeneous with small cystic foci noted suggesting adenomyosis.

The endometrial echo complex has a secretory appearance and measures 12mm in
AP dimension this also appears to contain a small cystic focus 7mm in
diameter. The endometrium otherwise appears normal with no polyp detected.
However given the symptoms I suggest a follow up study immediately following
a menstrual period.

The right ovary measures 8.6cc in volume, the left 9.1cc. Both ovaries
demonstrate developing follicles and each ovary contains a mildly irregular
echopenic nodule in keeping with a corpus luteum.

Free fluid, within physiological limits, is seen in the pouch of Douglas. No
adnexal mass is demonstrated
