General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The following conclusions can be drawn based on the semen analysis report you have furnished.
1. Volume of 5 ml is proper.
2. Time taken to liquefy is also fine.
3. Total sperm count with 44 million/ml is fine.
4. Sperm motility with actively motile of 10% is extremely low.
5. Sperm morphology with 98% normal forms is good.
6. Pus cells with 2 to 4/HPF is indicating that there is no infection.
Hence, the fertility index seems to be low as the motility of sperms is inadequate.
Kindly take medication containing L-carnitine, CoQ10, Alpha Lipoic acid, Lecithin, Vitamin E, Selenium, Vitamin C and Zinc as ingredients for 3 months as these substances provide nutrients for sperm activity.
Repeat semen analysis after 3 months to look for the improvement.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
Regards,
Dr.Ashakiran.S.,
