General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

One of the tests to rule out or to diagnose bowel cancer is colonoscopy. If you have not had one done this might be very helpful and reassuring. Also having some fecal occult blood tests, if you have 3 negative fecal occult blood tests then it decreases the risk for bowel cancer.

You seem to have lost a lot of weight, cancer is one cause of it but not the only. You will need to have thorough examinations to find out the cause. Some basic tests are: CBC, ERS, liver function test, kidney function test, TSH, sugar blood levels, etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
