What Does The Following Stress Test Result Mean:Immediate Post Stress & Resting Images Show Mild Fixed Thinning Of Anterior Wall. No Reversible Ischemia Or Evidence For LV Dilatation. LVEF By Gated Wall Motion Analysis Is 60 %
I did a stress test and result is as following
-Immediate post stress images as well as resting images demonstrate mild fixed thinning of teh anterior wall. no reversible ischemia. no evidence for LV dilatation. LVEF by gated wall motion analysis is 60 %
Dear Sir/ Madam Thanks for writing to HCM. Mild fixed thinning of anterior wall may be a normal variant or this may be an old small heart attack. At times this is a part of degenerative changes especially in older individuals. The exact cause depends upon the clinical scenario. Since there is no reversible ischemia and EF is good, overall scenario appears good. sincerely Sukhvinder
