What Does The Following Treadmill Stress Test Report Suggest?
My age is 42 yrs. BP-120/80, cholesterol total -144, Triglycerides -145,LDL-84.3,HDL-36.1. I underwent TMT test and exercise for 6.43 minutes on Bruce Protocol of a workload of 7.70 METS which is 87% of Max predicted HR. Report states significant ST-T changes were observed during exercise test. Developed 1.0 to 1.5mm HZ ST depression in leads II, III, aVF during stage II and at peak exercise. These ST-T changes reverted to basal pattern after 1 min of recovery time. OK advice me.
Cannot say in your particular case, but generally, about 2 mm depression indicates that the part of the heart is not getting enough blood. This certainly is concerning and implies the risk of a heart attack.
It does not necessarily mean an intervention is going to help if the condition is chronic, stable, not generally occurring unless someone is at very peak exercise levels. It certainly would be a strong indication for every prevention measure: Aspirin, Beta-blocker, station, probably others.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
