General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the cortical thickness of right kidney is somewhat raised up to 14 mm while that of left side is 10.5 mm. When the nephrolithiasis condition is ruled out, underlying narrowing of pelviureteric junction is seemingly likely possibility here. However, status of hydronephrosis of the kidney and ureter kinking is very vital information needed here.

In my clinic, after thorough histroy and physical examination, I do recommend:
- Kidney function tests with serum urea, creatinine, blood urea nitrogen ration with urine microscopy
- CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis with contrast pyelography, if the serum creatinine level is under control and no history of contrast dye sensitivity issues
Kindly mention your current concerns and attach all available reports with tour doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
