General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As the issue here indicates that BUN / creatinine ratio is above 20, possible pre-renal failure via systemic illness as diabetes, hypertension or else must be present. It is the identification of the underlying cause and treatment of the same which is responsible for best recovery of your mother`s health. Still if further details of her symptoms and rest of the reports are provided with drug history, I can definitely guide in more precise details here.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
