General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The best way to determine if you ovulating or not is to use ovulation kits which determine the urine LH raise related to ovulation. Also, the doctor may order progesterone levels after day 21 and if it is normal for the time of the cycle then very likely you had ovulation. If it is low, very likely ovulation did not happen with this cycle.

Ovulation happens around day 14, so a dominant follicle on day 22 does not confirm it is ovulation follicle.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
