What Does The Following Ultrasound Report Indicate?
Hi , I am 19 years old and I am not married and I want to ask u about my ultrasound report,my right ovary is 3.1 , 2.3 cm and my left ovary is 2.7 , 2.0 cm , and I have multiple tiny follicles seen at periphery of both ovaries and both adenaxa is normal plz asked me what does it mean and how its treatment??
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Based on the ultrasound report you have furnished, the following things can be inferred. 1. Size of both right and left ovaries appear to be normal. 2. Adenxa (tissues by the side of the uterus) is normal. 3. Multiple tiny follicle finding is suggestive of poly cystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) features. However, this needs to be correlated clinically. If you do not have problems related to menstrual cycle, then there is no need to worry about. In case you have certain issues related to disturbance in menstrual cycle, you need to take medications to correct the same. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
