General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi..generally as fetus develops in womb placenta moves from lower part to top of womb.sometimes this movement partially or completely not occur so placenta present at cervix or it covers cervix opening.
in grade 2 maturation..placenta at cervix region but opening is not close by placenta.
it will not cuase any harm as such.
but you must follow doctors advise for uneventfull delivery.
take care
