Hi,

Without an exam, I can only give general information. BUT nitrate positivity means there is an infection. sometimes there are resistant germs or there can be a spot the antibiotic cannot get to such as a kidney stone with germs in it or an out-pouching of the bladder. It is very easy to get what antibiotics the germ is sensitive to.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
