What Does The Following Urine Test Report Indicate?
My son s(1year 4month old) urine routine test report shows 15 to 18 puss cells with fever. This is third time occuring infection..his usg shows normal..kindly give me your expert advise regarding his health condition..is this any other serious health concerns?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Your son's urine report is showing to be having pus cells, which indicates urinary tract infection. He is having fever due to the presence of infection. He needs to be treated with appropriate course of antibiotics after getting his urine culture and sensitivity test. Following treatment with antibiotics, he needs further evaluation by certain investigations namely: 1. Micturating cystourethrogram (MCUG). 2. Dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA) scan. Kindly consult Urologist with the reports for evaluation and management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
