What Does The Glucose Level From 130 To 110 Suggest?
Hi doc this is Osman. My fasting blood glucose when tested with glucometer is around 130 to 140. On the other hand my blood glucose thoughout the day checked randomly with the same glucometer never exceeds 130. Late in the evening before dinner is hovers around 110. What do you suggest that I do?
Dear Osman. Our body is such a magnificent creation that it tries to maintain our sugar levels while we sleep. it takes stored sugar from the liver. This is normal phenomenon. once we start eating the output from liver is shut off. so the whole day sugars remain normal. If you are not a diabetic what you have noticed is the start of predibetic phase. All you have to do is a Glucose tolerance test (3intervals) to determine in what stage of diabetes you are. If you are a diabetic on medication my answer still holds good with the glucose output from liver and all you have to do is fine tune your night dose of medication. Hope i have answered your query...
