What Does The Lump Caused By A Sting Indicate?

I felt a sting in my lower inside leg, just above the ankle. Looked down and it was blue like a bruise and swelled up with a knot inside, under the skin. I thought i was stung by something. I put ice on it and the bruise has gotten smaller and so has the knot or lump. It has been about 4 hours since it happened. Should I be concerned?

Hi,

When the size of knot & bruise is reduced within 4 hours of sting..it does not seem to be poisonous.

still be aware of allergy symptoms like rash & itching all over the skin, breathlessness.&attend ER in severe reaction.

A preventive anti-allergic pill like Cetirizine &anti inflammatory pill Ibuprofen can be taken after food.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
