What Does The Report Say?

I had a regular examination of abdomen, where the doctor has advised a scan. The scan says there is a midpole cyst 28mm x 25mm. The doctor did not pay much attention to this except for some 3 days of medication and no follow up. Can you please throw some light on this

Thanks for writing to HCM

You have cyst in mid pole of kidney(side is not mentioned).
Most probably you have simple cyst.Simple renal cysts are age related finding and doesn't require any treatment unless there is some complications like infection,hemorrhage etc.
You need proper clinical examination and if there is any doubt,contrast CT scan of abdomen can be done.
