What Does The Sore Lump On The Forehead Indicate?

Hi. I have a lump on my forehead that s starts as an about inch long bump with a little scab in the middle (that I thought was a pimple) but the lump just formed this morning and now goes from my middle right side forehead down to in between my nose and eye socket. It is swollen from middle forehead to eyebrow but then continues to be sore down beside my eye (feels bruised beside my eye). The main lump is red and very sore. Any ideas on what this could be?

Understanding your concern. The symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like hematoma from injury , other soft tissue injury , tumor or a cyst .

An aspiration cytology of the lump should be done to assess the nature of the lump on the forehead.In aspiration cytology, the cells are sampled, spread on slide and stained with appropriate stains and studied microscopically.

I would suggest you to consult general surgeon and go for above tests . Doctor may also check tenderness and consistency . Doctor may also prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory .
