What Does The Sperm Analysis Report Indicate?
hi, my husband result. 3ml, 30mins liquefaction time,color opaque white, reaction alkaline, consistency viscid. total sperm count 179,200,000 , motile 45%,sluggish 10%, non motile 45%, morphology normal60% abnormal 40%,leukocyte 2-4, erythrocyte 0-2. is this normal? what is the normal range?

The semen analysis report shows normal volume, liquefaction time, normal count, normal motility and normal morphology.

Hi,
In my opinion, your sperm count is in normal range. Color, reaction and consistency is also normal. However, motility, is a bit borderline, lower side (Normal should be at least 60% after 2-3 hours) Similarly morphology should be 80% normal. Moreover erythrocyte should be absent from semen normally.
Though a borderline abnormal in some parameters, still the possibility of conception is there, with this count. Still, there are some more aspects like pattern of movements of sperm etc., which may determine the outcome related to pregnancy.
