What Does The Stool Test Result Of An 8-month-old Indicate?
Hi, i just got my son s stool result, he s experiencing diarrhea these past 3days and he s only 8months old. Microscopic examination. RBC: 40-50/HPF PUS CELLS: 6-11/HPF Parasite/OVA: Entamoeba coli cyst = 0-1/HPV Can you help me please. Is this normal or dangerous? What medicine should he take?
Hello, This means that he has blood and pus in his stools. The Entamoeba colis is an amoeba but is probably not the cause. He needs a stool culture to determine what is causing this. It looks like he has a colon infection. You cannot say what treatment is needed unless you know the cause. Get him to a doctor soon for blood and more stool studies. Regards
