What Does The Tumor Present For 3 Years Suggest?

I just had a colonoscopy in which I was told a very large tumor was discovered that they think had been there at least 3 years and was told that I need surgery. What stage of cancer would that be? I am not interested in having chemo or radiation. Am I looking at end stage cancer, based on the age and the size of the tumor? With having the surgery but no chemo or radiation, how long do I have? Thank you in advance, L.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

A biopsy is required to know the type and nature of the tumor. You have to get a CECT scan also to know the size and extension of the tumor.

In early-stage low-grade tumor surgery will be the treatment of choice. Consult a gastro surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
