Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM
Increased cortical echogenesity with indistinct corticomedullary junction indicates renal parenchymal disease.
However it should be confirmed by clinical examination and blood investigations.
You need routine hemogram,Random blood sugar,Renal function test(includes serum urea,
creatinine,sodium,potassium ,calcium,phosphorus,bicarbonate),creatinine clearance,GFR,urine input-out chart,
Liver function test,Urine RE/ME.Further investigation can be done if needed.
Pyelonephritis should also be ruled out.
Proper treatment depend upon findings.
Hope I have answered your question.
Take Care
