What Does The Urine Test Result Indicate?

Hi...my wife is 25 years old and she is at her 23rd week of pregnancy. She has just done a Urine test and her results are as follows:RBC/HPF : 5-7 WBC/HPF : 15-20 Can anyone please advise if the above results are good. I am very worried about the results because i guess the normal range should be <5

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

Your wife is suffering from urinary tract infection(UTI).

UTI is indicated by presence of excess pus cells and RBC in urine.RBC in urine may be due to UTI.
UTI is not good for pregnancy.
She need few more investigations like routine hemogram,Random blood sugar,Renal function test,Urine culture and sensitivity and Ultrasound of abdomen. Further investigations can be done if needed.
At present she need proper antibiotics after culture and sensitivity report.
