Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
During post-menopausal or peri-menopausal age group, the endometrium is expected to be thinned out.
Thickened endometrium at this stage is suspicious for hyperplasia or cancer.
Thus, an endometrial biopsy or curreting is the first line of management.
Depending on the result of endometrial biopsy or curretings, further management has to be done.
If hyperplasia or malignancy is detected, the best treatment would be surgical removal of uterus or hysterectomy.

I suggest you to wait for your biopsy report and consult your gynecologist once you receive the report.

Thanks and take care
