Dear Ma'am, Hi & Welcome.
The result of the
semen analysis is suggestive of infection.
1. Liquefaction time is a measure of the time it takes for the semen to liquefy, delayed liquefaction time may indicate inadequate prostate secretions which decreases
sperm motility.
If semen does not liquefy in 15 to 30 minutes,
fertility could be affected.
2. Pus cells are increased. Normally NO pus cells should be found in semen of a normal person. Increased level indicates possibility of bacterial infection. This increased pus cells can lead to increased time required for liquefaction.
Whereas the color, volume,
sperm count, motility 50% (30% active+20% sluggish) & the percentage of normal sperms (morphology) of 70% are within normal limits.
So, he has to be concerned regarding the infection in urogenital tract. In this condition a broad spectrum antibiotic like
Ciprofloxacin should be taken. Complete the antibiotic course and then repeat the semen analysis again. For the prescription you should consult with his treating doctor.
Wishing you good luck.
