Hello,

The time of examination and volume of the semen sample are irrelevant to the presence of any disorder. Alkaline reaction is also normal for a normal semen sample.

Total sperm could should be as low as 20 million sperms/ml in a normal sample and anything above this number is considered normal. Thus, your total sperm count is normal.

Regarding the motility of the sperms, at least 60% of the sperms in sample should be swimming either actively or sluggishly. That is 85% for you in total. Only 15% non-motile sperms are not a cause of concern.

If we follow strict criteria, at least 4% sperms should have normal morphology. Your sample has only 20% sperms that show variation from normal morphology.

Pus cells in the sample indicates presence of some bacterial infection. You might need to take antibiotics for that after examination by your doctor.

I hope this answer helps you in understanding your report. Let me know if I can answer any follow up question.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
