Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello.. my aunt who is 69 yrs. old just got admitted in a hospital after complaining about chest pain for the past 2 days . After a 2d echo we got to know that she has a Mild MR, Mild TR , Normal CCD, DRA & wall level is 35-40. Now the doctors are advising for angiography. Should we go for it ? Plus they said they will put a stent if needed. Please help !!
As there is chest pain at the age of 69 years with echo showing mild mitral and tricuspid regurgitation, it is best advised by the cardiologist for undergoing angiography with stent insertion if required during procedure to give best outcome in terms of heart function and coronary blood supply.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
