Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
Low MCV and low MCH are suggestive of microcytic hypochromic red blood cells.
Most common cause of microcytic hypochromic blood picture is iron deficiency anemia.
A high RDW hows that there is variation in sizes of red blood cells which again is seen iron deficiency anemia.
Thus, your findings are very suggestive of iron deficiency anemia.
Presence of tuberculosis in intestine is probably unassociated wit microcytic hypochromic anemia.
Red cell indices can be done to further confirm the presence of iron deficiency anemia.
Treatment of iron deficiency anemia is iron supplements.

Thanks and take care
