What Does This CT Scan For Severe Pain In Lower Back And Abdomen Indicate?
I h ad a CT scan on 5/1/15 at hospital emergency due to sever lower back, right flank & abdominal pain all on the right side. They checked for kidney stones but that was negative. Negative for UTI, bladder or kidney infections. No fever. Although i have microscopic hematuria and urinary frequency. Also bladder leakage hard to hold in my urine, sometimes i pee a little while walking to bathroom. CT findings were bilateral pars interarticularis defects are identified at L5-S1. 2.7 mm of anterior subluxation is identified of L5-S1. Pars interarticular defects identified at L5-S1, with mild anterior subluxation of L5-S1. What does this mean? Im scared. Haven t been scheduled for appointment with neurosurgeon i was referred to.
Lower backache is probably due to subluxation of L5-S1 vertebrae. Since, there is no evidence of urinary tract infection, I suggest you to consult an orthopedist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
