Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What does it mean when a CT reading comes back with "Apparently a New faint 5mm ovoid nodule located in RUL?" I had one 5 nodule a year ago and has not gotten larger. Now they say there is a new one. What is the likely hood this is something I need to worry about? 47 y/o male previous smoker, quit 7 years ago.
Hello Welcome to HCM. Your CT report showing that there is a nodule in right upper lobe of lung. It may be due to your smoking history. It is new or growth of old nodule. Nodule may be due to some other reasons. It may be benign or malignant. Please consult yoir physician for evaluation and lab test. If possible do lung biopsy. Hope these will be helpful to you. Thanks for contacting us. Take care...
