The visualized upper abdominal organs have a normal noncontrast appearance. Osseous structures are intact without lytic or blastic lesion. Diffuse fatty infiltration of the liver noted. Upper abdominal contents otherwise appear unremarkable. Minimal emphysematous change of the upper lobes with small subpleural blebs and upper lobe air cysts. No focal mass or focal consolidation. 3 mm noncalcified pulmonary nodule posterior right upper lobe image 37. 2 small 2 mm nodules are identified along the major fissure on the left image 37, 38 probably representing small nodular pleural plaques. additional nodule along major fissure 2 mm on the right image 45. 5 mm right middle lobe nodule which is noncalcified on image 48. additional oblong nodular density along major fissure and left image 52 measuring 8 mm. Fibronodular change in the inferior lingula anteriorly IMPRESSION: Multiple pleural and proximal nodules bilaterally as discussed above. May be the result of granulomatous disease and/or prior infection however small neoplasm is not entirely excluded. May wish to assess further with PET/CT fusion scan to assess metabolic activity of these multiple nodules further. no pathologic lymphadenopathy. Fatty infiltration of liver
You have some small masses in your lungs which may be remaining scar tissue from an infection such as tuberculosis years ago which has resolved. You have a little bit of emphysema but doesn't sound like anything serious. This could be from smoking if you are a smoker. Although the masses appear more like scar tissue, you can't be 100% sure that cancer isn't present, so a further test called a PET scan is recommended. You have fat deposits in your liver that could be related to obesity or a high fat diet. In rare cases, a certain type of fatty deposit can result eventually in cirrhosis, so this will need to be followed up. There are no abnormal lymph nodes, which is reassuring that no active infection or cancer is present, but a follow up test (the PET scan) should be considered to confirm this. Hope this answers your question.
