What Does This CT Scan Test Result Mean?
Hello, I did a CT scan and I got my results. I need to know what I should do, what treatments there are and other information to get back to normal. I have no idea what a Schmorl s node and Bulging disc is. I ve got an appointment with a neurosurgeon in around 3 weeks, and that is too long for me to wait. I need some more information and advice. My only symptom is backpain at times, near upper and middle back. Never had a prior diagnostic, this is first time. Report s findings:Thoracic Spine: There is a schmorl s node indenting the superior endplate of T9 and further schmorl s nodes indenting the adjacent endplates of T10/11 and T11/12. Lumbar Spine: There is a slight posterior bulging of the discs at all levels. No treatment yet besides dencorub and pain relievers. 16 Years of age and male.

According to the MRI results you have an slight lumbar hernia which is the cause of your pain. The neurosurgeon will evaluate you and decide if surgery is needed or not .No worries
