What Does This CT Scan Test Result Of The Throat Indicate?
4 years ago a ct scan was done. They also found nodules on my thyroid. I had a telephone appointment at the end of May. After she was done, she told me about the scan and that no one had seen it in all this time. She sent me for an Ultra Sound. The results is that I have a 6 centimeter nodlue on my throid. Is this cancer? She kept saying she was sorry it was missed, and that thyroid cancer is very curable.

A 6cm nodule is quite big, However we need to do a FNAC biopsy to see if there is a Cancer.There are 4 types of thyroid cancer.The prognosis depends upon what type of cancer( if it is a cancer).You are right, that one kind of cancer (papillary) is easily curable, and has a excellent prognosis.My wishes for a speedy Recovery..
