I am writing on behalf of my 63 year old husband, who is in generally good health. Our GP ordered an echocardiogram, because he heard a murmur. The findings were: heavily calcified aortic valve, mild aortic stenosis, mild dilation of the ascending aorta, normal LV systolic function, mild left ventricular hypertrophy, and slight increase in the transaortic gradient when compared to the echo from last year. Given these findings, what would you recommend?
