Hello. I am Dr. Praveen and I will be answering your question today.

I wish I knew under what circumstances this test was ordered for better clarity. However, let me try to answer you Ms.Ankita. The insulin levels after food normally goes up as a response to the food we consume. It also increases in a variety of other conditions like you mentioned. A PP insulin level of more than 41 generally indicates insulin resistance and there is plenty of research done in that area. Insulin resistance is a condition where your body doesnt use the insulin it produces in the right way thereby leading the body to produce more insulin to overcome the resistance. So to answer you what your test result shows is definitely abnormal but it cant give you a diagnosis unless we assess you clinically and correlate it well. I hope this answered your question.

Wishing you good health. Please feel free to drop in any more queries if need be.
Warm regards,
Dr Praveen Jeyapathy
