My father age is 67 and his MRI report says multiple t2/ flair nonspecific white matter hyperintensities involving the subcortical and periventricular of bilateral frontal and pariental lobes- FAZEKAS1. AND mild diffuse gyral volume loss with dilated sucal spaces, cisterns and ventricular system. weather it is curable.
This MRI reports normal findings for your father's age. All these findings are basically age related changes and develop due to loss of brain tissue and microangiopathic changes. These are non reversible. No need to worry or do anything about them.
