Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have just had my results from my mri scan and it has been said that they have found some small cerebral white matter high signal lesions with only one adjacent to the trigone at the right lateral ventricle. these appearances were felt to be borderline but probably just within normal limits for age. can you help to explain this. This was for my brain scan
MRI findings may suggests chronic white matter microangiopathic ischemic changes( due to compromised blood supply). These are generally due to involvement of small blood vessels. It is generally due to conditions like hypertension, diabetes mellitus, altered lipid profile etc.
You may need detail evaluation for these medical conditions.Generally only underlying etiology need to control. These are not very serious findings.
