What Does This MRI Report Indicate?

I had A MRI that showed a bulging disc in the 4th cervical. I had one shot at Scripps Green. Will the headaches get better if I don t have more shots or will I eventually heal with rest and exercise? I also have meds To relax muscle and heal with terrible brain spasms. Thanks! Joan I also have taken pain meds for horrible headaches. My e- mail address is YYYY@YYYY

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and thank you for your question.
It is difficult to tell what will happen. If the shot decreases the inflammation then hopefully the area will calm down and heal on its own. Sometimes a cervical disc pushes on a nerve and surgery is the only option. I hope yours heals up rapidly without more shots or surgery. Seeing a physical therapist skilled in treating this type of problem would give you the best chance an not needing further treatments. Everyone is different so only time will tell what your body will need for healing
Regards
