General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted the history about a 46 year old female having had seizures since January, MRI showed mucosal thickening of left sphenoid sinus and fluid in left mastoid air cells. Wants to know whether related to symptoms.
Fluid and mucosal thickening in sinuses is known to cause headache but not the seizures hence further cause has to be found out by consulting the Neurophysician for clinical evaluation, examination and further tests like EEG and so on.
This will help to find the cause and get treated accordingly.
For the sinus related problems consult an ENT Surgeon for proper examination, correlation with your symptoms and get treated accordingly.
Avoid fire, water and being alone as you have seizures.
Take rest.
Complete medical management for the problems can help you the most.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
