What Does This MRI Report Indicate?

I recently had an MRI that showed an area suspicious of demyelination in my front temporal lobe, about 11mm. I ve seen a neurologist who says that this lesion is not affecting me. I have trouble with memory and with moods. How do I get this lesion diagnosed? I am told it s a plaque but it isn t affecting me at all; I disagree. What are your thoughts?

Hello and welcome to HCM.
Demyelination of nerves in temporal lobe is seen in neurological disorder called multiple sclerosis.
Demyelination of nerves in any part of brain is bound to affect some functions of the body.
As you have mentioned that you are having trouble with memory and mood, the memory function is associated with temporal lobe but mood depends on various other functions.
I suggest you to take opinion of some other neurologist to diagnose the 11mm patch of demyelination.
Treatment is available to slow down the demyelination, however, complete cure is not present.

Thanks and take care
