What Does This MRI Report Indicate?

My mri T1 imaging shows diffuse isointensity of the marrow relative to disc spaces and paraspinal musculature, nonspecific. This may reflect a systemic possibly neoplastic marrow replacement process. They doc wants me to see a hemotoligist onocoligist...what does this mean??? Should i be worried??

Hello,

The given MRI is suspicious of a tumour arising from your spine. However, we can not confirm it by this MRI alone. Consult an oncologist and plan for a CT/MRI guided biopsy to confirm the diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
