Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was recently given results from my MRI last week stating that the findings suggest an exophytic brain stem glioma presumably low grade.. how accurate are MRI s and are there treatments out there that can help me if it is in fact what the report says it is? I have a neurologist appointment scheduled in another 2 weeks but my mind is going all over the place with worry and fear. I am a 26 YO Female. The reason for MRI was because of throbbing pain in my head when straining or bending over. Have had frequent migraines the last 2 years or so.

What Does This MRI Report Indicate?
Hello, MRI is the best tool to image brain tumors. Consult a neurosurgeon and get evaluated. Surgical removal will be the best option in this case. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
