Thanks for contacting HCM with your health concern

1. It seems that you are possibly suffering from 'radiculopathy' due to compression or irritation of nerve resulting in pain, numbness, tingling or weakness in arms or legs

2. You should consult an Orthopedic Surgeon to exclude causes like osteophytes from osteoarthritis [degeneration],disc herniation, thickening of surrounding ligaments, and less common cause like tumor/infection and as MRI is done he may ask for EMG [electromyelogram] or nerve conduction study to show if there is any damage to the nerve

3. Initially conservative treatment with anti inflammatory medication, physiotherapy, and chiropractic treatment and avoiding activity that strains the neck/back often improve the symptoms from 6 weeks to 3 months, however if no symptomatic improvement is seen one may go for epidural steroidal injection and lastly surgical procedure like laminectomy or a discectomy can be performed.
