What Does This MRI Report Indicate?

7 years ago I had a schwannoma removed from the spine at L1 and now have another, which has been confirmed via MRI , located at L2. Please find the MRI Repott.Can you tell me how long the surgery would last? What is the recovery time? Is there a chance that there will be another schwannoma that will show up somewhere else?       Name      VINOD 38/M Sex / Age     M/038Y     Report Date     01-10-2016 MRI SPINE PLAIN + CONTRAST PROTOCOL :Axial and sagittal T2 for LS Whole spine sagittal T2 screening Post contrast T1 REPORT :      •     Note is made of a well defined homogenously enhancing IDEM measuring 0.97 x 1 x 1.3cm among the filum root lets at L2-3 level.      •     The lesion is heterogeneously T2 hyperintense.      •     Disc dessication noted at all cervical levels.      •     Pre and paravertebral soft tissues normal.      •     Spinal cord show normal size and signal intensity. IMPRESSION :       o     IDEM AS DESCRIBED LIKELY NERVE SHEATH TUMOUR.

There is another likely schwanomma in the spinal canal. Surgery time can vary to about a couple of hours or a bit more. Recovery is in a few weeks. Schwanomma can form again in the spinal canal.
