What Does This MRI Report Indicate?

I have been told via MRI MRI examination show s some foraminal narrowing in the right hand side of the L5/S1 level with osteophytes on the facet joint encroaching on the exit foramen and may cause some mild mass effect on the proximal L5 nerve as it exits here. There looks to be a tiny right posterior paracentral disc protrusion abutting the proximal right S1 nerve root and lateral recess. The central canal here is patent Left exit foramen in patent. Mild bilateral facet joint degenerative change. At the L4/5 level as well as at the L3/4 level, there is mild bilateral facet joint degenerative changes and mild posterior annular laxity of the did. No significant disc protrusion or nerve root compression. I have had a bruise approx. 1 and 1/2inches on my right side hip since and groin pain since September 2016. Can there be something else going on???? No one I have been seen by from GP and higher have the same outcome. What do you think please????

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The MRI report shows presence of degenerative changes between L5 and S1 vertebra.
There is presence of osteophytes or bone spurs.
The degenerative changes are extending ypto L3-L4 and L4-L5 vertebrae also.
There is evidence of disc protrusion which may lead to compression of nerve roots.
You need to consult your orthopedician.
Treatment involves rest and pain killer.
Surgery may be required in latter stage.
The bruise may be due to injury or trauma to buttock region.

Thanks and take care
