Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have full thickness tear of superspanatus and infraspanatus as well confirmed by mri took 10 months to diagnose was does my future have in store for me should i continue to work play sports will i get other problems with my shoulder should i be compensated from my insurance company for this permanent injury that has affected my life
As per my clinical experience, the MRI report indicative of tear (full thickness) of supra and infra spinatus tendons indicate grave traumatic injury to shoulder rotator cuff. In this condition, sports are not advisable at all which may worsen the condition a great deal. There is only cure of this condition is arthroscopic repair or laparoscopic repair of the torn ligaments.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
