Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does This MRI Test Result For Loss Of Balance, Stress And Loss Of Memory Indicate?
I am a 48 year old female. I have been having symptoms for years- the worst symptom that came up is almost passing out while swallowing. It comes on quickly and goes away quickly. I have been having the symptoms of a difficulty in swallowing - the feeling like I am swallowing rocks for years- but recently this has come to actually on the verge of blacking out - brain MRI appears negative- a very low vitamin d level of 4, I fall - I have a loss of balance worse in times of stress, loss of memory, severe headaches. My sugar levels are dis-regulated, I have heart palpitations, high blood pressure and I was told several years ago that my heart was enlarged but since have had test that concluded my heart rhythm is fine. I have had stress related seizures.
The fact that the MRI is normal means to us that this might be a normal reaction or a vasovagal reflex due to swallowing. This is not a disease itself. Probably a psychiatrist is needed for your situation. Please discuss with your doctor
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
